Guest Speaker Event

An evening with Anthony Sinclair

Anthony Sinclair

Open Ears is delighted to host an inspiring evening with Anthony Sinclair, a passionate advocate for the deaf community and a powerful example of resilience. Growing up profoundly deaf in a hearing family, Anthony has overcome numerous challenges and achieved remarkable success in both his personal and professional life.

Anthony's love for tennis led him to an outstanding career, including winning gold at the Deaf Olympics. His perseverance and determination have shaped not only his athletic journey but also his career in education. Having navigated both mainstream and deaf schools, Anthony has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by deaf students.

In his professional life, Anthony has successfully thrived in predominantly hearing environments, and in his personal life, he has found balance as a husband to a hearing wife and a father to three hearing children. His story is one of inspiration, strength, and advocacy.

During our evening together, Anthony will share insights from his personal journey, followed by an open Q&A. With a focus on sign language, diversity, inclusion, and the positivity of difference, Anthony’s message encourages audiences to embrace diversity and create a more inclusive society.

We look forward to having Anthony with us for an insightful and motivating experience.

We are looking forward to you joining us, too!
